RULES FOR CHANGE THE VOICE

Rules for Change the Voice

1. While changing the Voice, the Subject takes the place of the Object and the Object takes the place of the Subject.

2. In Passive Voice we always use the third form of the Verb. (V3)

3. In Passive Voice Helping Verbs are used according to the Tense.

Interchange of Active and Passive Voice When the Doer of the action is more important than the work done, we use Active Voice.

Example:

1. Kavisha brings chocolates.

2. Nihar sold flowers.

3. Mahi broke the glass.

If the work done is more important than the Subject or the Doer of the action, we use Passive Voice.

3. Books are sold.

When it is not necessary to mention the Doer of the action, Passive Voice is used.

2. The floors are swept on Sundays.

When the Subject of the Active Verb is 'People' or Indefinite Pronoun, it is preferred to use Passive Voice.

Examples:

1. People beated Nihar.

Ans. Nihar was beaten.

2. One sees this type of advertisement everywhere.
