Festival Preparation Together – A Joyful Family Conversation

The house is buzzing with excitement as the family prepares for the upcoming festival. Everyone is busy cleaning, decorating, making rangoli, and preparing festive treats. The joy of working together fills the air.

Mother: Let’s clean the house and decorate with flowers and lights.
चला, घर स्वच्छ करू आणि फुले व दिवे लावूया.

Raha: I can make paper decorations!
मी कागदी सजावट बनवेन!

Father: I’ll set up the lights outside.
मी बाहेर दिवे लावेन.

Father: What special dishes will we prepare this year?
यावर्षी कोणते खास पदार्थ बनवशील?

Mother: We will make puran poli and ladoos.
आपण पुरणपोळ्या आणि लाडू बनवणार आहोत.

Raha: Festivals are the best time to be together!
सण हा एकत्र असण्याचा सर्वोत्तम वेळ आहे!

Grandmother: Don’t forget to soak the chana dal early for the puran!
पुरणासाठी हरभऱ्याची डाळ आधी भिजवायला विसरू नका!

Grandfather: And I’ll get fresh flowers from the market.
आणि मी बाजारातून ताजी फुले आणतो.

Mother: Let’s also hang the toran at the main door.
मुख्य दरवाजाला तोरण पण लावूया.

Raha: Can I light a few small diyas this year?
मी यंदा काही छोटे दिवे लावू का?

Father: I have brought scented lamps. Full arrangement for Gudhi Padwa!

Raha: I’ll make a big colourful rangoli near the entrance!
मी दरवाजाजवळ मोठी रंगीत रांगोळी काढेन!

Mother: Don’t forget to use the flower petals too. It will look beautiful!
फुलांच्या पाकळ्या पण वापर, खूप छान दिसेल!

Father: Let’s arrange the Gudhi in the window where everyone can see it.
गुढी खिडकीत लावूया, म्हणजे सगळ्यांना दिसेल.

Grandfather: The house looks so festive now — bright, colourful, and full of joy!
