How to Make Bigger Sentences

To make a sentence bigger, we add more information using clauses.
A clause is a group of words with a subject and a verb.
It tells us when, where, why, how, or what kind.

🔑 Use words like:
because, when, where, that, if, so, although, which
Example:
🔹 I bought a book. → Short sentence
🔸 I bought a book because I love reading. → Bigger sentence with a reason clause

Let’s make sentences bigger using clauses!

We start with “I bought..…..” and add a part that tells more about what you bought.

Here are some examples:

• I bought a pen which doesn’t write properly.

• I bought a dress that I had seen in the advertisement.

• I bought a plant which needs sunlight every day.

• I bought a charger that doesn’t work with my phone.

• I bought a painting which looks beautiful in my room.

• I bought a mobile that has very poor battery life.
