One day, a fox became very hungry. He went to search for some food. एके दिवशी, कोल्ह्याला खूप भूक लागली. तो अन्न शोधायला गेला. He searched high and low, but couldn’t find something that he could eat. त्याने खूप उलथापालथ करून शोध घेतला, पण त्याला खाण्यासाठी काही सापडले नाही. Finally, as his stomach rumbled, he stumbled upon a farmer’s wall. शेवटी, त्याच्या पोटात खडखडाट होताच, तो एका शेतकऱ्याच्या भिंतीला अडखळला. At the top of the wall, he saw the biggest, juiciest grapes he’d ever seen. भिंतीच्या अगदी वरती, त्याने कधीही न पाहिलेली सर्वात मोठी, रसाळ द्राक्षे पाहिली. To reach the grapes, the fox had to jump high in the air. द्राक्षे गाठण्यासाठी कोल्ह्याला हवेत उंच उडी मारायची होती. As he jumped, he opened his mouth to catch the grapes, but he missed. उडी मारुन त्याने द्राक्षे पकडण्यासाठी तोंड उघडले, पण तो चुकला. The fox tried again but missed yet again. कोल्ह्याने पुन्हा प्रयत्न केला पण पुन्हा चुकला. He tried a few more times but kept failing. त्याने आणखी काही वेळा प्रयत्न केला पण तो अपयशी राहिला. Finally, the fox decided it was time to give up and go home. शेवटी कोल्ह्याने हार मानण्याचा आणि घरी जाण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. While he walked away, he muttered, “I’m sure the grapes were sour anyway.” निघून जात असताना तो बडबडला, "मला खात्री आहे की द्राक्षे तशीही आंबटच असतील."
Moral of the story - Never despise what we can’t have; nothing comes easy.
आपल्याकडे जे नाही ते कधीही तुच्छ मानू नका; काहीही सहज मिळत नाही.
