INFORMAL LETTER - 9

 

One of your cousin has asked for your advice on the choice of profession. तुमच्या एका चुलत भावाने तुमचा प्रोफेशन निवडण्याबाबत सल्ला मागितला आहे. Write a letter to him giving him your opinion. त्याला पत्र लिहून तुमचे मत द्या.

Dear Prachil,

     Thanks for your letter which I received today. आज मला मिळालेल्या तुझ्या पत्राबद्दल धन्यवाद. Obviously you are quite worried. साहजिकच तू खूप काळजीत आहेस. Yes, the choice of a profession does require serious thinking. होय, व्यवसाय निवडण्यासाठी गंभीर विचार होणे आवश्यक आहे. And since you have opted for Arts, I must say the choice will be difficult. आणि तू आर्ट्सची निवड केली असल्याने, मला म्हणायचे आहे की निवड कठीण होईल.  

     As far as I can see you have three choices before you, and for each you have the special qualifications. माझ्या नजरेत तुझ्यासमोर तीन पर्याय आहेत, आणि प्रत्येकासाठी तुझ्याकडे विशेष पात्रता आहे. The choices are between journalist, teacher or lawyer. पत्रकार, शिक्षक किंवा वकील यांच्यातील निवड आहे. I do believe that you have a natural flair for writing, and a good command over the English language. मला विश्वास आहे की तुझ्याकडे लेखनाची नैसर्गिक क्षमता आहे आणि इंग्रजी भाषेवर चांगले प्रभुत्व आहे. You speak well and are exceedingly good at conveying your point of view. तू चांगला बोलतोस आणि तू दृष्टिकोन मांडण्यात खूप चांगला आहेस. Now it is for you to make the choice and then decide upon the related courses to opt for. आता तुला निवड करायची आहे आणि त्यानंतर संबंधित अभ्यासक्रमांची निवड करायची आहे. Knowing you so well, I would advise you to opt for journalism. तुला चांगले ओळखून, मी तुला पत्रकारिता निवडण्याचा सल्ला देईन.
