NOUN CLAUSES

The noun phrase takes the place of a noun.
Example:
I know how to go there.
In this example to go is an infinitive.

Sometimes, a noun clause may begin with a gerund ➡️
Example:
He remembers bringing chocolates.
Bringing is a gerund.

A noun phrase comes after words that are connected with speaking or with the mind ➡️
Example:
I recommend swimming for sports.

The connectives, when,  why, what and how are often used to introduce the noun clause ➡️
Examples:
She will know what to buy later.
Mohi teaches me how to knit a sweater.
I realise how to solve this sum.
The date on the library card tells us when to return them.
The attendant showed me where to park my car.
I cannot decide what to buy for her birthday.
I have not planned what to do with the old oven.
I always remember when to bring my school fees.
I am wondering what to cook for dinner tonight.
