My dear Piyu,

How are you my dear brother? I am missing you.

As usual, you have described your experiences on a train journey very well but if you thought that was something, just read about my experience in an overcrowded bus.

It is because of this bus journey that I am now lying in bed with a sprained ankle. This is how it happened.

I got up late this morning. After a hurried wash and breakfast, I ran down to the bus stop to get to college on time. There was quite a crowd. The bus arrived and I pushed my way towards the door of the bus along with the jostling crowd. I managed to get 1 foot on the footboard while with my free hand, I caught the side rod. In this “half-in-half-out” dangling manner, I reached the next stop somehow.

Here the crowd was less sympathetic. They pushed me right out of the bus and as a result, I badly twisted my ankle. I limped to a waiting autorickshaw and came back straight home. Our family doctor said that I had sprained my ankle, so it's going to be at least 2 weeks in bed for me! The physiotherapist comes here daily. I'm so bored lying on the bed! I have decided after recovery I will go to college by my new bike.

Your loving brother,

            XYZ
