HOW TO SEND AN E-MAIL 

Sanvi: Hello, Abha. This is Sanvi. How are you? Daddy has bought me a new computer. I am so excited! I also have an internet connection. I have created an e-mail address but I don't know how to send an e-mail. Can you help me please?

Abha: Congratulations, Sanvi. Actually it's very easy to send an e-mail. The first top thing is to type in your message. In the column at the top, you have to key in the address of the person you are sending the e-mail to. Below that, you have to type an e-mail subject. It could be anything. Even the word “Hi”! Then press the “Send” button.

Sanvi: Is that so? That seems easy but how does the message get sent?

Abha: The service provider has a server. If you type in a valid e-mail address, the internet network will recognize the address and send the message electronically to the recipient's mailbox.

Sanvi: How will the recipient read the mail?

Abha: When the recipient opens his “Inbox”, he will see that he has a new e-mail. He has to click on “Inbox” and the address box, and he will be able to read your mail.
