My Teacher as a Role Model
"Though you wrote in black and white, You brought colours in my life"
I distinctly remember even now the evening when I presented a small card to my teacher' with the above lines beautifully inscribed on it. Almost three years have passed but Joshi teacher is getting close to me day by day and I feel much obliged to her contribution to all walks of my life. For me, she is much bigger than a teacher, more lovely than a sister, more sportive than a player, more friendly than a friend, larger than an umbrella of protection and above all, more godly than a godmother. I admire her by heart as her evergreen smile is the everlasting source of inspiration- for me always.
Joshi teacher has been the source of my inspiration since the day joined this school. In Std V, I was not doing well and even failed in Ist Term. My parents were very upset and my friends often passed sarcastic remarks on my miserable performance. But my madam came to my rescue and continuously assured me that I could do much better. She even requested my English teacher to pay special attention and find out what was wrong with me. With all her efforts, I secured 92%. I still feel grateful to her. It was not only a question of assuring me that I was 'the best' but also to make me confident about it in a society where everybody was so negative.
I find her a very dynamic teacher who takes part actively in all school activities. She once accompanied our group of students to a two-day trip to Mahabaleshwar. We were in a big group but she was always very positive about our activities. Her motherly care won a lot of respect for her and we never used to lunch or take anything else without her. Inspite of being very strict, she always listened to us and convinced us if we were wrong. In her company, we improved our table-manners, dress-code and even conversation. Being very particular about the language, she used to check us modestly when we crossed the barriers.
Her sense of understanding the behaviour of teenagers is simply marvellous. Sometimes she finds out the problem before it is narrated to her and then, one can guess the easy solutions that come from her departmental store. Her appealing personality becomes wonderful with the touch of humour. She is very jovial and usually cuts jokes with us in such a serious manner that none of us can stop laughing but soon we also realize the moral hidden in them. Her smiling dynamism makes her very popular popular in the school and an unforgettable teacher for me.
Mrs. Joshi exemplifies the qualities of an ideal role model. Her passion for teaching, dedication to student success, empathy, and integrity make her a beacon of inspiration. She has not only expanded my knowledge but also shaped my character, instilling in me values that extend far beyond the classroom. I am grateful for the impact she has had on my academic journey and aspire to emulate her qualities as I move forward in life.
