A conversation about college toilets: Time for improvement

Introduction-

Rinku and Roha discuss the worsening condition of their college toilets, highlighting issues like poor hygiene, broken facilities, and lack of supplies. Frustrated, they decide to raise the problem with the administration, believing that clean and functional toilets are a basic necessity that needs immediate attention.

Rinku: Have you noticed how bad the toilets in  college have gotten?

Roha: Oh, absolutely. They’re in such a terrible state. Sometimes, they don’t even flush properly, and there’s often no toilet paper or soap available.

Rinku: I know! It’s really unhygienic. The floors are always wet, and the smell is unbearable. It’s like they haven’t been properly cleaned in ages.

Roha: It’s frustrating, especially when you need to use them between classes. The hand dryers either don’t work or are so weak they’re practically useless.

Rinku: Exactly. And the locks on some of the stalls are broken, which is really uncomfortable. You shouldn’t have to worry about basic privacy when using the bathroom.

Roha: It’s pretty ridiculous that a college with so many students can’t maintain its toilets better. It’s not just unpleasant—it’s a health issue.

Rinku: Absolutely. I think they need to step up the cleaning schedule and make sure that everything is stocked up and in working order. It wouldn’t take much to fix these issues if they paid attention.

Roha: Yeah, and maybe they should consider renovating the older toilets. Some of the facilities are just too outdated and need a complete overhaul.

Rinku: I agree. And they need to install better ventilation, too. That would help with the smell and make the area feel a bit fresher.

Roha: Definitely. It’s not too much to ask for clean and functioning toilets. I think we should raise this issue with the administration. It’s something that affects everyone.

Rinku: For sure. We could get a petition going or gather feedback from other students to show how serious the problem is.

Roha: That sounds like a good idea. If we all push for it, they’ll have to listen. Clean and well-maintained toilets are a basic necessity.

Rinku: Agreed. Let’s start talking to people and see if we can get something done about it. It’s high time they addressed these issues.

Roha: I’m with you. No one should have to deal with such poor conditions. Let’s make sure the administration knows how important this is.
