WHAT IS A VERB PHRASE? 

A verb phrase is a group of words that contains a main verb and its auxiliaries (helping verbs), complements, or modifiers. It functions as the action or state in a sentence. क्रियापद वाक्यांश म्हणजे मुख्य क्रियापद आणि त्याला सहाय्य करणारे (मदत करणारे) क्रियापद, तसेच पूरक किंवा वर्णन करणारे शब्द मिळून तयार झालेला शब्दसमूह.

1. Helping Verb + Main Verb

Is is the helping verb, and singing is the main verb.

2. Main Verb + Object
🔮He ate a delicious meal.
त्याने एक स्वादिष्ट जेवण खाल्ले.

ते बससाठी थांबत होते.
