A dialogue between the Travelers and the Boatman in an emergency

A DIALOGUE BETWEEN THE TRAVELERS AND THE BOATMAN DURING AN EMERGENCY 

Here is a dialogue between the travelers and the boatman during an emergency.

Traveler 1: Look at that speed boat! It’s coming right at us! त्या स्पीड बोटकडे बघा! ती सरळ आमच्याकडे येत आहे!

Traveler 2: Why isn’t it turning away? It’s too fast! Everyone, hold on! ती वळत का नाहीये? खूप वेगात आहे! सगळ्यांनी घट्ट पकडा!

(Sound of a loud crash as the speed boat hits the traveler boat. The boat shakes violently.)

Traveler 3: Oh my God! What just happened? अरे देवा! काय झालं हे?

Traveler 1: I think the speed boat hit us. Is everyone okay? मला वाटतं, स्पीड बोटने आपल्याला धडक दिली आहे. सगळे ठीक आहेत का?

Traveler 4: My arm is bleeding! Does anyone have a first aid kit? माझा हात रक्ताळलाय! कोणाकडे प्राथमिक उपचार पेटी आहे का?

Traveler 2: (Looking around) The boat is damaged! Water is coming in fast! (इकडे तिकडे बघून) बोट खराब झाली आहे! पाणी झपाट्याने आत येत आहे!

Boatman: Everyone, put on your life jackets right now! Stay calm! सगळ्यांनी आपल्या लाइफ जॅकेट्स लगेच घाला! शांत राहा!

Traveler 1: What about the people on the speed boat? Are they okay? स्पीड बोटमधल्या लोकांचं काय? ते ठीक आहेत का?

Traveler 3: (Looking over the side) They’re in the water! Some of them are shouting for help! (बोटीच्या कडेला बघून) ते पाण्यात आहेत! त्यापैकी काही मदतीसाठी ओरडत आहेत!

Traveler 2: Quick, throw life buoys to them!
पटकन त्यांच्याकडे जीवनरक्षक रिंग फेका!

Boatman: (Using the radio) Mayday! Mayday! This is traveler boat Sea Wave. We’ve been hit by a speed boat, taking in water! Location: 20 kilometers south of the shore. Request immediate rescue!
(रेडिओचा वापर करताना) मदत! मदत! ही ट्रॅव्हलर बोट सी वेव्ह आहे. आम्हाला स्पीड बोटने धडक दिली आहे, पाणी भरत आहे! स्थान: किनाऱ्याच्या दक्षिणेला २० किलोमीटर. त्वरित मदत पाठवा!

Traveler 4: The water level is rising! Are we going to sink? पाण्याची पातळी वाढतेय! आपण बुडणार का?

Boatman: Stay together, and don’t panic. The Coast Guard has been alerted. Help is on the way. एकत्र रहा आणि घाबरू नका. कोस्ट गार्डला कळवलं आहे. मदत येत आहे.

Traveler 1: (Grabs floating debris) Everyone, grab onto anything that floats! Prepare to leave the boat if necessary!
(तरंगणारा साहित्य पकडून) सगळ्यांनी तरंगणाऱ्या वस्तू पकडा! गरज पडल्यास बोट सोडून जायची तयारी ठेवा!

Traveler 2: Is there a way to slow the flooding? Can we block the hole? पाणी येणं थांबवायचा काही उपाय आहे का? आपण छिद्र बंद करू शकतो का?

Boatman: I’ll try to patch it temporarily, but we must stay ready to evacuate. मी तात्पुरता उपाय करतो, पण बोट सोडण्याची तयारी ठेवा.

Traveler 3: I see a helicopter approaching! It’s the Coast Guard! मला एक हेलिकॉप्टर जवळ येताना दिसतंय! ते कोस्ट गार्ड आहेत!
