Current Situation सध्याची परिस्थिती + Past Event (Kitchen Chores)भूतकाळातील घटना (स्वयंपाकघरातील कामे)

In daily life, kitchen chores follow a set routine, but sometimes unexpected events disrupt it. दररोजच्या जीवनात स्वयंपाकघरातील कामे ठरलेल्या पद्धतीने केली जातात, पण कधी कधी अनपेक्षित घटना त्यात बदल घडवतात.
To express this, we use:
Simple Present Tense साधा वर्तमानकाळ  – for regular kitchen tasks and habits. नियमित स्वयंपाकघरातील कामे आणि सवयींसाठी.
Simple Past Tense साधा भूतकाळ – for specific past events or exceptions. भूतकाळातील विशिष्ट घटना किंवा अपवाद दर्शवण्यासाठी.

This structure helps in clearly explaining differences between what usually happens and what happened on a particular occasion. ही रचना नेहमीची स्वयंपाकघरातील कामे आणि भूतकाळातील अपवाद यामधील फरक स्पष्ट करण्यास मदत करते.

Formula:

Current Situation + Past Event
• My brother helps in the kitchen, but last week he was out of town.
माझा भाऊ स्वयंपाकघरात मदत करतो, पण गेल्या आठवड्यात तो बाहेर गेला होता.
Explanation: My brother helps (Simple Present) tells about his usual role, whereas he was out of town (Simple Past) explains why he didn’t help last week.

• This mixer works smoothly, but last time it stopped suddenly.
हा मिक्सर व्यवस्थित चालतो, पण मागच्या वेळी तो अचानक बंद झाला.
Explanation: This mixer works (Simple Present) states a general fact, while it stopped suddenly (Simple Past) describes a past problem.

• We store leftovers in containers, but last night we forgot to cover them.
आम्ही शिळे अन्न डब्यात ठेवतो, पण काल रात्री आम्ही त्यावर झाकण ठेवायला विसरलो.
Explanation: We store (Simple Present) describes a habit, while we forgot (Simple Past) tells about an unusual mistake.

• My mother cooks delicious food, but last month she was unwell and couldn’t cook.
माझी आई चविष्ट स्वयंपाक करते, पण गेल्या महिन्यात ती आजारी होती आणि स्वयंपाक करू शकली नाही.
