Hello students! Today, we are going to learn about Indicative Mood in English.
What is Indicative Mood?
When we tell a fact, describe an event, or express a truth, we use the Indicative Mood. This is the most common type of sentence in English.
Now, let’s understand with examples.

Example 1:
I eat breakfast at 8 a.m. every day.
🔹 मी दररोज सकाळी ८ वाजता नाश्ता करतो/करते.
🍄 This sentence tells us about a daily habit.
🍄 It is in Present Simple Tense because habits are regular actions.

Example 2:
She was watching TV when I called her.
🔹 मी तिला फोन केला तेव्हा ती टीव्ही पाहत होती.
🍄 This sentence describes an ongoing past action interrupted by another action.
🍄 It is in Past Continuous Tense (was watching – past helping verb was + -ing form).

Example 3:
They have lived in Mumbai for five years.
🔹 ते पाच वर्षांपासून मुंबईत राहतात.
🍄 This sentence tells us about something that started in the past and is still true.
🍄 It is in Present Perfect Tense (have lived – helping verb have + past participle).

Example 4:
The teacher will explain the lesson tomorrow.
🔹 शिक्षक उद्या धडा समजावून सांगतील.
🍄 This sentence talks about a future event.
🍄 It is in Future Simple Tense (will explain – future helping verb will + base verb).

 Indicative Mood expresses facts, actions, and truths.
