Definition
🔹 A Gerund Phrase is a phrase that begins with a gerund (verb + ing) and includes its object or modifiers.

🔹 Gerund Phrase म्हणजे असा शब्दगट जो gerund (verb + ing) ने सुरू होतो आणि त्यात object किंवा modifiers असतात.
👉 It works as a noun in a sentence.
👉 हा वाक्यात नाम (noun) म्हणून वापरला जातो.

Meaning
• Gerund itself = verb + ing form used as a noun. (noun सारखे काम करते.)
Example: Swimming is fun. (“Swimming” looks like a verb but acts as a noun).

(“Swimming” हे verb आहे पण noun सारखे काम करते).

• Gerund phrase = gerund + other words (object, modifiers).
Example: Swimming in the lake is fun.
