Good morning respected Principal, teachers, parents, and my dear friends,
Today, our hearts are filled with pride and joy as we gather to celebrate the 15th of August — our Independence Day. This day marks the end of a long journey of struggle, sacrifice, and hope, and the beginning of a free India in 1947. For nearly 200 years, our country was under British rule. Our people suffered hardships, yet they never gave up.Freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Rani Laxmibai, and many others showed unmatched courage. Some fought with weapons, some with the power of truth and non-violence, but all shared the same dream — a free and united India. Many gave their lives so that we could live as free citizens today.
Independence Day is not just about hoisting the flag and singing the anthem; it is about understanding the value of our freedom. True independence means we are free to speak, to learn, to dream, and to live with dignity — but also that we are responsible for protecting these rights.
As the youth of this nation, we must work hard, stay honest, respect our elders, protect our environment, and help those in need. Small acts of kindness and responsibility will build a stronger nation.
Let us remember — our freedom was hard-earned and must never be taken for granted. Let us promise today to carry forward the legacy of our heroes and make India shine brighter in the world.
Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
