THE SMALL ACT OF KINDNESS (IN THE SCHOOL GARDEN)
A school garden is a place where students play, laugh, and sometimes even learn about nature. But it can also be a place where kindness blooms—just like flowers.Story:
One bright morning, the school bell rang for the short recess. Many children ran out to the school garden. Some played tag, some chased butterflies, and others sat under the big mango tree.
Aarav walked towards the garden with his tiffin box. As he sat on the bench, he noticed his classmate, Kabir, standing sadly near the swings. Kabir was holding a small water bottle and trying to water the flower plants, but the bottle was almost empty.
"Oh no," sighed Kabir, "I promised the teacher I’d water these plants today, but I don’t have enough water. The plants will remain thirsty." Hearing this, Aarav got up.
"Wait here, Kabir. I’ll help you," he said cheerfully.
Aarav ran to the water tap, filled his own bottle, and came back. Together, the two boys watered the flower bed. The little plants seemed to smile with their fresh, green leaves. Kabir looked at Aarav gratefully. "Thank you, Aarav. You saved me today. May you always get help whenever you need it."
Aarav smiled, feeling happy inside.
A few days later, Aarav was playing football in the same garden during P.T. period. While running fast, he suddenly tripped over a root and fell. His knee hurt badly, and his hands got scratched. Tears filled his eyes.
Just then, Kabir came running. "Don’t cry, Aarav. Hold my hand, I’ll take you to the nurse." Kabir gently helped Aarav stand up and supported him all the way to the nurse’s room. The nurse cleaned the wound and put a bandage. Aarav looked at Kabir and said softly,
"Thank you, Kabir. You are a true friend."
Kabir smiled, reminding him, "See? Kindness always comes back, just like the flowers we watered together." Aarav nodded, realizing how true those words were.
Moral:
🌟 Kindness is like a seed planted in a garden. When you water it with love, it grows and comes back to you in beautiful ways.
