How to use 'Soon'
Soon means in a short time / quickly / without much delay.It is often used with Future Tense, but also works in Present and Past contexts.
📍 Placement of 'soon' in Sentences with Explanation
1. At the end of the sentence
🔮She will call me soon.
Explanation: Soon comes at the end to show the action (calling) will happen in a short time.
2. Before the main verb (not “to be”)
🔮I will soon start my new job.
Explanation: Soon is placed before the main verb start to emphasize the quick beginning of the action.
3. After the verb “to be” (is, am, are, was, were)
🔮The results are soon available.
Explanation: With be verbs, soon comes after them to show when the state will happen.
4. At the beginning of the sentence (for emphasis)
🔮Soon, the train will arrive.
Explanation: Soon at the beginning gives extra focus on the short waiting time.
