Meanwhile – at the same time

She cooked dinner; meanwhile, I cleaned the house.
The word meanwhile is an adverb and sometimes a conjunctive adverb.
It is used to show that two actions happen at the same time or to contrast situations.
It means in the same time / at the same time or in the meantime.

Placement in Sentences

1. At the beginning of a sentence

🔮I was cooking. Meanwhile, my brother was setting the table.
मी स्वयंपाक करत होतो. दरम्यान माझा भाऊ टेबल लावत होता.

2. In the middle of a sentence (after a semicolon or comma)
🔮She was reading; meanwhile, her friend was playing outside.

Usages

1. At the same time (simultaneous actions)

2. In the meantime (between two events)
🔮The train will arrive at 5. Meanwhile, we can have some tea.

3. Contrast of situations
🔮Ravi is hardworking; meanwhile, his brother is lazy.
रवि मेहनती आहे; तर त्याचा भाऊ आळशी आहे.
