Spoken English – I closed the door vs I have closed the door

In spoken English, the difference between “I closed…” and “I have closed…” is important to show whether the action is completely finished or still has an effect now.

🔯Note for Students:

From these two sentences, the other person can clearly understand what you mean.

That is, after I closed the door, it is not known whether someone has opened or closed it again.

And when I say, “I have closed the door,” it is to tell that the door is still closed.

ह्या दोन वाक्यांमधून, दुसऱ्या व्यक्तीला नेमके काय सांगायचे आहे ते स्पष्टपणे कळू शकते.

म्हणजे मी दरवाजा बंद केल्यानंतर, कोणी तो पुन्हा उघडला किंवा बंद केला आहे की नाही हे माहीत नाही.

आणि जेव्हा मी म्हणतो, “मी दरवाजा बंद केलेला आहे,” तेव्हा त्याचा अर्थ आहे की दरवाजा अजून बंद आहे.

1️⃣ I closed the door. मी दरवाजा बंद केला. (Action completed in the past / भूतकाळातील पूर्ण क्रिया)

❇️Same Day / Spoken English:
I closed… → I closed it today and maybe it has been opened again.

Finished → I closed the door.
→ संपलेली क्रिया → मी दरवाजा बंद केला.
त्यानंतरची परिस्थिती माहित नाही (त्यानंतर कोणी उघडला/बंद केला असेल ते माहीत नाही)

2️⃣ I have closed the door. मी दरवाजा बंद केलेला आहे. (Action done recently, result matters now / अलीकडे केलेली क्रिया, परिणाम अजून आहे)

❇️Same Day / Spoken English:
I have closed… → I closed it today and it is still closed.
→ मी दरवाजा बंद केलेला आहे. (म्हणजे दरवाजा अजून बंद आहे)
→ अजून परिणाम आहे

⚛️I closed the door . मी दरवाजा बंद केला. त्यानंतर कोणी उघडला/बंद केला असेल माहीत नाही.
⚛️I have closed the door. मी दरवाजा बंद केलेला आहे. म्हणजे दरवाजा अजूनही बंद आहे असे सांगण्यासाठी बोलतो.
