 Spoken English – I go to school vs I go to the school

In English, the meaning of a sentence can change when we add the word the.

🎯I go to school → means going to school for studying or as part of a daily routine.

🎯I go to the school → means going to the school building for some special work, not for studying.

👉 So, without the we talk about education/routine, and with the we talk about the place/building.

English मध्ये वाक्यात the वापरले तर अर्थ बदलतो.

🔮I go to school → शिकायला जाणे / रोजची सवय.
🔮I go to the school → शाळेच्या इमारतीत काही खास कामासाठी जाणे (अभ्यासासाठी नाही).

👉 म्हणजेच, the नसल्यास → शिक्षण/रोजची सवय,
the असल्यास → जागा/इमारत/कामासाठी.

We use I go to school when we mean going there to study, learn, or as part of our routine. Here, school is not treated as just a building, but as an institution of education. That is why we do not use “the.”
आपण I go to school असं म्हणतो तेव्हा त्याचा अर्थ शिकायला जाणे, अभ्यासासाठी जाणे, किंवा रोजच्या सवयीचा भाग असा होतो. इथे school ही फक्त इमारत नसून शिक्षणसंस्था आहे. म्हणून the वापरत नाही.

Explanation:

We use “I go to the school” when we mean going to the school building itself, usually for a specific purpose other than studying. Here, school is seen as a place or location, not as an institution. That is why we add the.

आपण “I go to the school” असं म्हणतो तेव्हा त्याचा अर्थ शाळेच्या इमारतीत जाणे, एखाद्या विशिष्ट कामासाठी जाणे असा होतो. इथे school ही शिकण्याची संस्था नसून जागा / इमारत म्हणून घेतली जाते. म्हणून the वापरतो.

💡ही सर्व वाक्ये “I go to the school” वापरतात कारण सर्वजण शाळेत studying साठी नाही, तर काम / visit / duty / donation साठी जातात.
