Introduction:
Now it’s your turn, children!
Imagine you are meeting your best friend after the summer vacation. What would you say to each other? Work with a partner, talk about your vacation, and create your own fun conversation. Remember to speak clearly, smile, and enjoy speaking English!
Let’s Have a Conversation!
Meena: Hi, Riya! How are you?
Riya: Hello, Meena! I am fine. How are you?
Meena: I am good. Welcome back to school!
Riya: I am so happy to see you again!
Meena: Did you enjoy your summer vacation?
Riya: Yes, I did. I enjoyed it a lot!
Meena: Where did you go?
Riya: I went to my grandmother’s village.
Meena: Wow! What did you do there?
Riya: I played with my cousins and visited my grandparents.
Meena: That sounds fun! Did you enjoy your vacation?
Riya: Yes! I had a wonderful time!
Speak, Act and Enjoy!
Now, children, change the names, places, and activities and make your own conversation. Act it out with your partner in front of the class. Use natural expressions, gestures, and eye contact while speaking.
Ending:
Excellent, children! You did a wonderful job! Keep talking to your friends in English, keep practising new sentences, and speak with confidence. Remember, every conversation is a chance to learn and grow!
