1.7 In the Kitchen – Teacher’s Role (शिक्षकांची भूमिका)

A teacher plays an important role in developing children’s speaking and communication skills. (मुलांचे बोलण्याचे आणि संवाद साधण्याचे कौशल्य विकसित करण्यात शिक्षकांची महत्त्वाची भूमिका असते.)
The teacher should encourage children to speak English confidently and participate in different activities. (शिक्षकांनी मुलांना आत्मविश्वासाने इंग्रजी बोलण्यासाठी आणि विविध उपक्रमांमध्ये सहभागी होण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहित केले पाहिजे.)
1. Give children opportunities to speak. (मुलांना बोलण्याची संधी द्या.)
How to do it? (हे कसे करावे?)
Ask simple questions and allow every child to answer in English. (मुलांना सोपे प्रश्न विचारा आणि प्रत्येक मुलाला इंग्रजीत उत्तर देण्याची संधी द्या.)
For example:
• What is your name? (तुझे नाव काय आहे?)
• How are you? (तू कसा/कशी आहेस?)
• What is your favourite fruit? (तुझे आवडते फळ कोणते आहे?)
• What did you do yesterday? (तू काल काय केलेस?)
Encourage children to answer in complete sentences without fear of making mistakes. (मुलांना चुका होण्याची भीती न बाळगता पूर्ण वाक्यांत उत्तरे देण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहित करा.)
2. Encourage children to ask questions. (मुलांना प्रश्न विचारण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहित करा.)
How to do it? (हे कसे करावे?)
Show children pictures of birds, trees, or other objects and ask them to frame questions. (मुलांना पक्षी, झाडे किंवा इतर वस्तूंची चित्रे दाखवा आणि त्यांना प्रश्न तयार करण्यास सांगा.)
For example: (उदाहरणार्थ:)
• What is this? (हे काय आहे?)
• Where does the bird live? (पक्षी कुठे राहतो?)
• Why do plants need water? (झाडांना पाण्याची गरज का असते?)
Appreciate children when they ask questions and express their thoughts. (मुले प्रश्न विचारतात आणि आपले विचार व्यक्त करतात तेव्हा त्यांचे कौतुक करा.)
3. Create a friendly classroom environment. (वर्गात मैत्रीपूर्ण वातावरण निर्माण करा.)
Listen patiently to children and appreciate their efforts. (मुलांचे बोलणे शांतपणे ऐका आणि त्यांच्या प्रयत्नांचे कौतुक करा.)
Correct their mistakes gently and encourage them to speak without fear. (त्यांच्या चुका प्रेमाने दुरुस्त करा आणि त्यांना न घाबरता बोलण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहित करा.)
4. Encourage every child to participate. (प्रत्येक मुलाला सहभागी होण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहित करा.)
Organise pair work, group discussions, storytelling, and question-answer activities. (जोडीने काम करणे, गटचर्चा, गोष्ट सांगणे आणि प्रश्नोत्तरांचे उपक्रम आयोजित करा.)
Give shy children extra support and enough time to speak. (लाजाळू मुलांना अधिक मदत करा आणि बोलण्यासाठी पुरेसा वेळ द्या.)
🔮Teachers should provide regular opportunities for children to listen, speak, ask questions, and practise English confidently. (शिक्षकांनी मुलांना ऐकण्याच्या, बोलण्याच्या, प्रश्न विचारण्याच्या आणि आत्मविश्वासाने इंग्रजीचा सराव करण्याच्या नियमित संधी उपलब्ध करून द्याव्यात.)
