Game: Synonyms and Antonyms
Materials Required: Small paper chits, a box, a blackboard and chalk.
Instructions for playing the game
1. Divide the class: Divide the students into two teams, Team A and Team B.
2. Prepare the word chits: Write the words given below on separate paper chits. Fold the chits and put them in a box.
3. Start the game: Ask one student from Team A to pick a chit and read the word aloud.
4. Give an answer: The student must give either a synonym or an antonym of the word within 10 seconds.
5. Award points: Award 1 point for each correct answer. If the student cannot answer or gives an incorrect answer, Team B gets one chance to answer the same word.
6. Continue the game: Give both teams equal opportunities to pick chits and answer.
7. Declare the winner: Add the points scored by both teams. The team with the highest score wins the game.

• A team must not repeat an answer already given.
• Students must answer within the time limit.
• The teacher will decide whether an answer is correct.
