HOW TO USE 'USED TO' - 1

S + used to + Verb 1 + O

भूतकाळात ती क्रिया केली जायची, आता केली जात नाही. सवय होती, आता ती सवय नाही.

For example :

He used to smoke. तो धुम्रपान करायचा.

(आता तो धूम्रपान करत नाही, आता ती सवय नाही)

Examples:

I used to sit there. मी येथे बसायचो.

He used to sit there. तो येथे बसायचा.

She used to sit there. ती येथे बसायची.

You used to sit there. तू येथे बसायचास.

You used to sit there. तुम्ही येथे बसायचात.

We used to sit there. आम्ही येथे बसायचो.

They used to sit there. ते येथे बसायचे.

Those boys used to sit there. ते मुलगे येथे बसायचे.

Those girls used to sit there. त्या मुली येथे बसायच्या.

I used to go to the market with my mother when I was very young. 

मी खूप लहान असताना माझ्या आईसोबत बाजारात जायचो.

(आता जात नाही, म्हणजे मी लहानपणी आईसोबत जायचो.)

Reema used to dance when she was six years old. 

रिमा सहा वर्षांची असताना नाचायची.

Shashi used to eat icecreams when he was in std 4th.
