A DAY AT AN AMUSEMENT PARK

The amusement park at, Imagica, Khopoli is the place which provides to people of all ages excitement and pleasures galore. The park itself is spread over a vast acreage taking almost a day to traverse the length and breadth of it.  And everywhere there are breathtaking roller- coaster rides, crazy merry-go-rounds, train rides, cup and saucer or car bash rides and the like. And the beauty of it all is that you can avail yourself of as many rides as you wish for the price of just one ticket.

Some of the rides are quite frightening, and there are signboards announcing that children below certain age and heart patients should not attempt them. But the fear is part of the fun, and it is not surprising to see groups going again and again for the most daredevil possible.

The place has canteens serving snacks dotted all over. There is also a shack where medical aid is given to anyone hurt or injured. On certain days such as Sundays or Holidays the park is packed to capacity and one has to wait in a long queue to take the rides.

There is also a house of horrors where you step into a darkmaze with skeletons and other scary creatures jumping out at you. The floor on which you are walking suddenly starts shaking and you almost lose your balance.

Right in the heart of Imagica you have a shack where DJ music is played. People come over here to dance. Occassions such as Navratri or Christmas or the New Year popular singers and artists come here to perform all through the evening. Such days are indeed fun! During the monsoons rain dances are held and plenty of prizes are given away.

Whether you are splashing headlong into water as your roller coaster seat plungs downwards into a pool, or whether you are trumbling round and round inside a cubicle that rolls in all directions madly, there is no doubt that you are having the time of your life. Thoroughly tired but completely relaxed after an action-packed day, you make your journey home. But the memory goes on and on and on.
