It was Monday. तो सोमवार होता. I was getting ready for office. मी ऑफिसची तयारी करत होतो. Suddenly my next-door neighbour, Megha kaku, came shouting for help. अचानक माझ्या शेजारच्या मेघा काकू मदतीसाठी ओरडत आल्या. She was frightened. त्या घाबरल्या होत्या. Her five year son, Raju, had slipped in the bathroom.त्यांचा पाच वर्षांचा मुलगा राजू बाथरूममध्ये घसरला होता. He had an injury. त्याला दुखापत झाली होती. Nobody else was there at home. घरी दुसरे कोणी नव्हते. So I hurried to their room. म्हणून मी घाईघाईने त्यांच्या खोलीत गेलो.
Raju was lying in the bathroom. राजू बाथरूममध्ये पडलेला होता. He had dashed against the water-tap in the bathroom. त्याने बाथरूममधील पाण्याच्या नळाला धडक दिली होती. His forehead was bleeding. त्याच्या कपाळातून रक्त येत होते. He was uneasy because he was too much frightened. तो अस्वस्थ होता कारण तो खूप घाबरला होता. Raju's mother did not know what to do. राजूच्या आईला काय करावे सुचत नव्हते.
I asked Megha kaku for some cotton and a piece of clean cloth. मी मेघा काकूंकडे कापूस आणि स्वच्छ कापडाचा तुकडा मागितला. I made Raju sit properly and then took the cotton and the clean cloth and folded it to make a pad. मी राजूला नीट बसवले आणि मग कापूस आणि स्वच्छ कापड घेऊन त्याची घडी करून पॅड बनवला. Then I bandaged it firmly over the wound. मग मी जखमेवर घट्ट मलमपट्टी केली. The wound was small but Raju was in a shock. जखम छोटी होती पण राजूला धक्का बसला होता. I asked Megha kaku to make tea. मी मेघा काकूंना चहा करायला सांगितले. I gave Raju warm tea. मी राजूला गरमागरम चहा दिला. Soon he was feeling better. लवकरच त्याला बरे वाटू लागले.
Then Megha kaku and I took him to their family doctor in a rickshaw. मग मेघा काकू आणि मी त्याला रिक्षातून त्यांच्या फॅमिली डॉक्टरकडे घेऊन गेलो. The doctor examined Raju and dressed his wound. डॉक्टरांनी राजूची तपासणी करून त्याच्या जखमेवर मलमपट्टी केली. We brought him home and soon he felt better. आम्ही त्याला घरी आणले आणि लवकरच त्याला बरे वाटले. Raju and his mother thanked me for the timely help. वेळेवर मदत केल्याबद्दल राजू आणि त्याच्या आईने माझे आभार मानले. I missed my office but I was happy to help my neighbour. माझे ऑफिस चुकले पण मला माझ्या शेजाऱ्याला मदत करण्यात आनंद झाला.
