CONJUNCTION - 'and'

'and' is used to join sentences. वाक्ये जोडण्यासाठी 'and' (आणि) चा वापर केला जातो. Such joining word is called Conjuction. अशा प्रकारच्या शब्दाला उभयान्वयी अव्यय असे म्हणतात.

Examples:

1. Nihar played kabaddi. निहार कबड्डी खेळला.

2. Nihar played chess. निहार बुद्धीबळ खेळला.

We can join these sentences using 'and' and make one sentence like this आपण 'and'(आणि) वापरून ही वाक्ये जोडू शकतो आणि असे एक वाक्य बनवू शकतो -

Nihar played kabaddi and chess. निहार कबड्डी आणि बुद्धिबळ खेळला.

1. Grishma sang bhajans. ग्रीष्माने भजने गायली.

2. Drushti sang bhajans. दृष्टीने भजने गायली.

We can join these sentences using 'and' and make one sentence like this - आपण 'and'(आणि) वापरून ही वाक्ये जोडू शकतो आणि असे एक वाक्य बनवू शकतो -

Grishma and Drushti sang bhajans. ग्रीष्मा आणि दृष्टीने भजने गायली.

Sometimes we can simply join two sentences by using 'and' - काहीवेळा आपण 'and' ला घेवून दोन वाक्ये जोडू शकतो.

Saroj cooked food. सरोजने जेवण बनवले. Anisha washed clothes. अनिशाने कपडे धुतले.

Saroj cooked food and Anisha washed clothes.

सरोजने जेवण बनवले आणि अनिशाने कपडे धुतले.
