SPEECH - 1

 FAREWELL PARTY 

     Respected Principal, teachers and my fellow students!

     I have been selected by my class to express my feelings on this occasion. माझ्या वर्गाने या प्रसंगी माझ्या भावना व्यक्त करण्यासाठी माझी निवड केली आहे. But these are not my feelings but also of my classmates and the entire school. पण या माझ्या भावना नसून माझ्या वर्गमित्रांच्या आणि संपूर्ण शाळेच्या भावना आहेत. 

     You are all aware that Mr Manjarekar, the head-peon of our school is going to retire today. आपल्या शाळेचे मुख्य शिपाई श्री मांजरेकर आज सेवानिवृत्त होणार आहेत हे तुम्हा सर्वांना माहीतच आहे. He has been here in this school since the beginning of the school. आपल्या शाळेच्या सुरुवातीपासून ते या शाळेत आहेत.  He has been here for the last thirty eight years. गेली अडतीस वर्षे ते येथे आहेत.  He is the senior most person in our school. ते आपल्या शाळेतील सर्वात ज्येष्ठ व्यक्ती आहेत. We all lovingly call him 'Manjarekar Mama'. आपण सगळे त्यांना प्रेमाने 'मांजरेकर मामा' म्हणतो.

     Friends, our school was new when Manjarekar mama joined this institution. मित्रांनो, मांजरेकर मामा या संस्थेत रुजू झाले तेव्हा आपली शाळा नवीन होती. He was of great help to our school. आपल्या शाळेला त्यांची खूप मदत झाली. He worked hard throughout this long period. प्रदीर्घ काळात त्यांनी खूप मेहनत घेतली. He never grumbled. त्यांनी कधी कुरकुर केली नाही. He was always cheerful and happy doing his duty. ते नेहमी आनंदी असायचे आणि आनंदाने त्यांचे कर्तव्य करत असायचे

     He is as simple as he was thirty eight years ago. ते अडतीस वर्षांपूर्वी होते तसेच साधे आहेत. He loves students and students love him for his lovable nature. ते विद्यार्थ्यांवर प्रेम करतात आणि विद्यार्थी त्यांच्या प्रेमळ स्वभावामुळे त्यांच्यावर प्रेम करतात. He was always sincere, faithful and cheerful. ते नेहमी प्रामाणिक, विश्वासू आणि आनंदी होते. We all love and respect him. आपण सर्व त्यांच्यावर प्रेम करतो आणि त्यांचा आदर करतो. He took interest in every activity of our school. आपल्या शाळेतील प्रत्येक उपक्रमात त्यांनी रस घेतला. He is a good singer. ते एक चांगले गायक आहेत. He was and always be our favourite 'Manjarekar Mama'. ते आमचे आवडते 'मांजरेकर मामा' होते आणि राहतील.

     We all shall miss him from tomorrow. उद्यापासून आपण सगळे त्याला मिस करू. He too, will feel lonely without us. त्यांनाही आपल्याशिवाय एकटे वाटेल. I hope he will visit our school occassionally. मला आशा आहे की ते अधूनमधून आपल्या शाळेला भेट देतील. On behalf of my class I wish him a long, happy and peaceful life and present him this bouquet and a small gift as a token of our love. माझ्या वर्गाच्या वतीने मी त्यांना दीर्घ, आनंदी आणि शांतीपूर्ण आयुष्यासाठी शुभेच्छा देतो आणि आमच्या प्रेमाचे प्रतीक म्हणून हा पुष्पगुच्छ आणि एक छोटी भेटवस्तू सादर करतो.
