USE 'WHOSE'

1. If the subject of the first sentence is related to 'his, her, their, its', use 'whose' after the subject in the second sentence. After 'whose', remove his, her, their, its' from the second sentence. Then take the remaining part of the sentence and insert a comma (,). Finally, write the remaining part after the subject in the first sentence.

पहिल्या वाक्यातील कर्त्याशी संबंधित दुसर्‍या वाक्यात his, her, their, its असेल तर कर्त्यानंतर 'whose' घ्यावे. 'whose' नंतर दुसर्‍या वाक्यातील 'his, her, their, its' यांना काढून उरलेल्या वाक्याचा भाग घेवून त्यानंतर स्वल्पविराम (comma) देवून पहिल्या वाक्यातील कर्त्या नंतरचा उरलेला भाग लिहावा. 

Example :-

1. Neena is crying. Her mobile was stolen. नीना रडत आहे. तिचा मोबाईल चोरीला गेला.

Ans. Neena, whose mobile was stolen, is crying. नीना जिचा मोबाईल चोरीला गेला, ती रडत आहे.

2. If the second sentence related to the object of the first sentence and has 'his, her, their, its' then the first sentence should be written in the same way. After that remove 'his, her, their, its' from the second sentence and replace them with 'whose' and write the remaining part after 'his, her, their, its' in the second sentence.

पहिल्या वाक्यातील कर्माशी (object) संबंधित दुसर्‍या वाक्यात 'his, her, their, its' असेल तर पहिले वाक्‍य आहे तसेच लिहावे. त्यानंतर दुसर्‍या वाक्यातील 'his, her, their, its' यांना काढून त्यांच्या जागी 'whose' ला घेवून दुसर्‍या वाक्यातील 'his, her, their, its' नंतरचा उरलेला भाग लिहावा. 

Example :-

1. I saw some boys. Their car had broken down. मी काही मुलं पाहिली. त्यांची कार खराब झाली होती.

Ans. I saw some boys, whose car had broken down. मी काही मुले पाहिली ज्यांची कार खराब झाली होती.

'whose' is used instead of 'his, her, their, its, Its'

'whose' चा वापर 'his, her, their, its, Its' या ऐवजी केला जातो. 

Use - whose

1. Mohit is a clever boy. His father is a lawyer. मोहित हा हुशार मुलगा आहे. त्याचे वडील वकील आहेत.

Ans. Mohit, whose father is a lawyer, is a clever boy. मोहित ज्याचे वडील वकील आहेत, तो हुशार मुलगा आहे.

2. Shresthi is a mechanic. His wife is a writer. श्रेष्ठी हे मेकॅनिक आहेत. त्यांची पत्नी लेखिका आहे.

Ans. Shresthi is a mechanic, whose wife is a writer. श्रेष्ठी एक मेकॅनिक आहेत ज्यांची पत्नी लेखिका आहे.
