HOW WE CELEBRATED THE BIRTHDAY OF MY AAI

     We celebrated our aai's 50th birthday this year. या वर्षी आम्ही आमच्या आईचा ५० वा वाढदिवस साजरा केला. It was an occasion to remember. आठवणीत राहण्याचा तो प्रसंग होता. We decided to make it a very special occasion for her. आम्ही तिच्यासाठी हा एक खास प्रसंग बनवण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. All my maternal and paternal uncles and aunties and their children were present there. माझे सर्व मामा-मामा-मामी आणि त्यांची मुले तिथे उपस्थित होती. My grandparents, invited relatives, our neighbours were present at her birthday party. तिच्या वाढदिवसाच्या पार्टीला माझे आजी आजोबा, आमंत्रित नातेवाईक, आमचे शेजारी उपस्थित होते. We also invited all her childhood friends. तिच्या बालपणीच्या सगळ्या मैत्रिणींनाही आम्ही बोलावले. We arranged a party at the Sambhaji hall near our house. आमच्या घराजवळील संभाजी हॉलमध्ये आम्ही पार्टी आयोजित केली. Daddy and my uncles made all the arrangements. बाबा आणि माझ्या काकांनी सगळी व्यवस्था केली. The hall was decorated beautifully by my brother and his friends. माझा भाऊ आणि त्याच्या मित्रांनी हॉल खूप सुंदर सजवला होता. On the evening of the party, Aai was taken to the hall in a car. पार्टीच्या संध्याकाळी आईला गाडीतून हॉलमध्ये नेण्यात आले. Aai was looking very beautiful in red saree. लाल साडीत आई खूप सुंदर दिसत होती. There was a special sofa in front of the stage where Aai sat. स्टेजसमोर एक खास सोफा होता तिथे आई बसली.

     Throughout the evening, there were games and stage programmes. संध्याकाळभर खेळ आणि रंगमंचावर कार्यक्रम झाले. My cousins performed dances. माझ्या चुलत भावांनी नृत्य सादर केले. The food was excellent. जेवण उत्कृष्ट होते. Aai got many gifts. आईला अनेक भेटवस्तू मिळाल्या. All her friends, my father and her siblings gave speeches on the occasion. माझे वडील आणि तिच्या भावंडांसह तिच्या सर्व मैत्रिणींनी याप्रसंगी भाषणे दिली. Then, she was asked to speak. त्यानंतर तिला बोलण्यास सांगितले. She only managed to say "Thank you everyone". ती फक्त "सर्वांचे आभार" म्हणू शकली. Then we all went home. मग आम्ही सगळे घरी निघालो. It was a wonderful evening. ती एक अभूतपूर्व संध्याकाळ होती.
