ADVERB CLAUSE OF REASON कारण दर्शविणारे क्रियाविशेषण उपवाक्य

The subordinate Clause that gives answer to the question “Why” is considered as an Adverb Clause of Reason.

It is introduced by because, as, since, that, or for.

Examples:

1. I shall not come with you because I have to cook now.

मी तुझ्याबरोबर येणार नाही कारण मला आता स्वयंपाक करायचा आहे.

I shall not come with you - Main Clause

because I have to cook now - Adverb clause of reason modifies the verb shall not come in Main Clause.

2. As Rashmi was not there, I returned home.

रश्मी तेथे नसल्यामुळे मी घरी परतले.

I returned home - Main Clause

as Rashmi was not there - Adverb clause of reason modifies the verb returned in Main Clause. 

3. Since I had no money, I could not travel.

माझ्याकडे पैसे नसल्याने मी प्रवास करू शकलो नाही.

I could not travel - Main Clause

Since I had no money - Adverb clause of reason modifies the verb could not travel in Main Clause. 

4. Shree never mixes with others because she is very shy.

श्री कधीच इतरांमध्ये मिसळत नाही कारण ती खूप लाजाळू आहे.

because she is very shy - Adverb clause of reason modifies the verb mixes in Main Clause. 

5. I am glad that we met.

आपण भेटलो याचा मला आनंद झाला आहे.

I am glad - Main Clause

that we met - Adverb clause of reason modifies the verb am glad in Main Clause. 

6. Suru nagged me as I missed her usual train.

मी तिची नेहमीची ट्रेन चुकवल्यामुळे सुरु मला टाकून बोलली.

as I missed her usual train - Adverb clause of reason modifies the verb nagged in Main Clause. 

7. Since I was ill, I could not appear for my exam.

मी आजारी असल्याने मी माझ्या परीक्षेला बसू शकलो नाही.

since I was ill - Adverb clause of reason modifies the verb could not appear in Main Clause. 

8. As he was not there, I spoke to his father.

तो तिथे नसल्यामुळे मी त्याच्या वडिलांशी बोललो.

As he was not there - Adverb clause of reason modifies the verb spoke in Main Clause. 

9. Open the door because I have to come out.

दार उघड कारण मला बाहेर यायचे आहे.

because I have to come out - Adverb clause of reason modifies the verb open in Main Clause.

10. As I had to work late at the office, I couldn't come for the party. 

मला ऑफिसमध्ये उशिरा काम करावे लागल्याने मी पार्टीसाठी येऊ शकलो नाही.

I couldn't come for the party - Main Clause

As I had to work late at the office - Adverb clause of reason modifies the verb couldn't come in Main Clause.
