NOUN CLAUSE OBJECT OF THE VERB

Works as an object कर्माचे काम करते 

Ask the question what to the verb क्रियापदाला काय असा प्रश्न विचारावा 

that ने सुरू होते.

know, ask, find, realize, understand, tell, say, believe इत्यादी क्रियापदानंतर that ने जोडून येणारी वाक्ये Noun Clause Object of the verb असतात.

Examples:

1. I found that the burgers had been bought. बर्गर विकत घेतल्याचे मला आढळले.

What did I find? मला काय आढळले? When asking such a question, the answer is found in the sentence after that. असा प्रश्न विचारल्यावर त्याचे उत्तर that नंतरच्या वाक्यात मिळते. 

that the burgers had been bought➡️ is the object of found.

The subordinate clause is used as a Noun, it is a Noun Clause. 


I found ➡️ Main Clause

that the burgers had been bought ➡️ Dependent Clause/Subordinate Clause 

Noun Clause Object of the verb found in the Main Clause. 


2. Ripur promised that she would not waste her time. रिपूरने ती आपला वेळ वाया घालवणार नाही असे वचन दिले.

What did Ripur promise? रिपूरने काय वचन दिले?

When asking such a question, the answer is found in the sentence after that. असा प्रश्न विचारल्यावर त्याचे उत्तर that नंतरच्या वाक्यात मिळते. 

that she would not waste her time ➡️ is the object of promised.

The subordinate clause is used as a Noun, it is a Noun Clause


Ripur promised ➡️ Main Clause

that she would not waste her time ➡️ Dependent Clause/Subordinate Clause

Noun Clause Object of the verb promised in the Main Clause.


B] NOUN CLAUSE OBJECT OF THE VERB (WITHOUT THAT)

Examples-

Nimir thinks he is a good singer. 

निमीरला तो चांगला गायक आहे असे वाटते.


1. Nimish thinks ➡️ Main Clause

he is a good singer ➡️ Dependent Clause/Subordinate Clause 


he is a good singer ➡️ Noun Clause Object of the verb thinks in the Main Clause.


2. My mother assured she would bring ice-creams.

आईने आईस्क्रीम आणण्याचे आश्वासन दिले.


My mother assured ➡️ Main Clause 

she would bring ice-creams ➡️ Dependent Clause/Subordinate Clause


she would bring ice-creams ➡️ Noun Clause Object of the verb assured in the Main Clause.


C] NOUN CLAUSE OBJECT OF THE VERB - Begins with what, where, how, when

Examples:

1. Ananya knows when she will find a job.

अनन्याला माहित आहे तिला नोकरी कधी मिळेल.


Ananya knows ➡️ Main Clause 

when she will find a job ➡️ Dependent Clause/Subordinate Clause 


when she will find a job ➡️ is the object of knows

when she will find a job ➡️ Noun Clause Object of the verb knows in the Main Clause.


2. I learnt where she was hiding herself. 

I learnt ➡️ Main Clause

where she was hiding herself ➡️ Dependent Clause/Subordinate Clause 


where she was hiding herself ➡️ is the object of learnt
