Dear Mama,

     I was extremely sorry to hear about your about of pneumonia. It must have been terrible to have been in hospital for 3 weeks. Mami, Bittu and Aaji are there to take care of you but they must be tired and worried.

     Unfortunately, I was informed about it only today by Reema mami, who has come down to stay with her relatives for a few days. I was shocked to know that you had even been hospitalized for 21 days. Believe me, had I known, I would have come immediately to meet you and to be of some help to the family. As it is, I am leaving for Khed this Friday. I will come to see you as soon as I come back.

     I am glad to know that you are now on the road to recovery. Mama, you are very dear to me, and nothing should happen to you. Follow the doctor's advice and do not exert yourself much.

     We shall meet soon, and until then take care. My prayers are always with you.
