Proverb: Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Proverb: "Don't count your chickens before they hatch."

Krivi found a nest of eggs in her backyard. Excited, she imagined all the cute baby chicks that would soon hatch. Every day, she would count the eggs and dream about playing with the chicks.
One day, Krivi decided to tell her friends about the upcoming chicks. She said, "I have ten eggs, so I'll have ten baby chicks soon!"
But when the time came for the eggs to hatch, only six of them did. Krivi was disappointed because she had already planned for ten chicks. She realized that she shouldn't have counted the chicks before they actually hatched.
From then on, Krivi learned not to make plans based on something that hasn't happened yet. She understood the saying, "Don't count your chickens before they hatch," which means don't rely on something happening until it actually does.
