THE FINAL STOP

 THE FINAL STOP

Late one night, a young man found himself stranded after missing his last train and had no choice but to take the night bus. The vehicle was old and creaky, with an eerie atmosphere that immediately unsettled him. As he boarded, he noticed the only other passenger was a woman sitting at the back, her face obscured in the shadows. As the bus rolled through the deserted streets, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off about her. Whenever he tried to focus on her face, it seemed to blur, making it impossible to see her features clearly. Dismissing it as a trick of the light, he tried to calm his growing unease.
As the journey continued, the atmosphere grew heavier, and the man became increasingly anxious. The driver remained silent, and the bus seemed to slow to a crawl as they approached his stop. When they finally arrived, the bus driver looked at him with a grave expression and warned him in a low, serious voice, "Don't look back." Confused but still unnerved, the man stepped off the bus, the warning echoing in his mind. But curiosity got the better of him, and as he walked away, he glanced over his shoulder.
To his horror, the woman from the bus was standing right behind him, her face now clearly visible—a grotesque, decayed mask twisted in a terrifying expression. He froze in place, paralyzed by fear, unable to scream or move. The next morning, the bus was discovered abandoned, with no sign of the driver. The young man’s lifeless body was found slumped in a nearby alley, his face locked in an expression of sheer terror, as if he had seen something too horrifying to comprehend.
