The Talking Parrot(बोलणारा पोपट)

A fun story that teaches how kind words matter.
   

     In a small town, there lived a cheerful little boy. एका छोट्या गावात एक आनंदी मुलगा राहत होता. He had a bright green parrot with shiny red feathers. त्याच्याकडे एक टवटवीत हिरवा पोपट होता, ज्याचे पंख लालसर चमकदार होते. But this was no ordinary parrot—he was smart and curious! पण हा पोपट काही साधा नव्हता—तो खूपच हुशार आणि जिज्ञासू होता!
     The boy thought, “Why not teach him some kind and polite words?” मुलाच्या मनात विचार आला, “याला गोड आणि नम्र शब्द शिकवले तर?” So he began with: “Thank you,” “Please,” “Sorry,” and “Good morning!” त्याने त्याला शिकवायला सुरुवात केली: “थँक यू”, “प्लीज”, “सॉरी” आणि “गुड मॉर्निंग!” The parrot listened, practiced, and learned quickly. पोपट लक्ष देऊन शिकू लागला आणि पटकन बोलू लागला.
     When guests came, the parrot greeted them sweetly. घरी पाहुणे आले, की पोपट गोड बोलून त्यांचे स्वागत करत असे. People were surprised and happy. लोक आश्चर्यचकित होत आणि खुश होत. “He’s so well-mannered!” they would say. “किती नम्र पोपट आहे!” ते म्हणत. The boy would smile and say, “Kind words are powerful—even birds can spread happiness!” मुलगा हसून म्हणायचा,
“गोड शब्दांत खूप ताकद असते—पक्षीसुद्धा आनंद देऊ शकतो!”
     Just then, the parrot looked around and added smartly, “Please be nice…Kind words are the wings of peace!” तेवढ्यात पोपट इकडे तिकडे पाहून हसत म्हणाला,“कृपया गोड बोला...गोड बोलणं म्हणजेच शांततेचे पंख आहेत!” Everyone clapped, laughed, and nodded. सगळ्यांनी टाळ्या वाजवल्या, हसले आणि मान डोलावली.
     From that day, people in the town started using kind words more often. त्या दिवसानंतर गावातले लोक एकमेकांशी अधिक गोड बोलू लागले.

Moral: Kind words cost nothing but create joy everywhere! गोड बोलण्याला काही खर्च नसतो, पण ते आनंद सर्वत्र पसरवते!
