Action Verb: BOIL
Hello, students! Today, we are going to learn a new action verb: BOIL.Boil means to cook something in very hot or boiling water.
Boil म्हणजे उकळत्या पाण्यात अन्न शिजवणे किंवा उकडणे.
We use boil when we cook things like eggs, potatoes, rice, or vegetables in water.
For example:
She boils the eggs.
ती अंडी उकडते.
Let’s understand the sentence.
She is the subject.
Boils tells us what action she does.
So, boils is the verb in this sentence.
Notice one important point: We use boils instead of boil because the subject is she. With he, she, or it, we usually add -s to the verb in the simple present tense.
Here are two more examples:
I boil the potatoes.
मी बटाटे उकडते.
He boils the water.
तो पाणी उकळतो.
So, remember: BOIL means to cook something in very hot or boiling water.
