      A VISIT TO A CIRCUS SHOW

     The Jumbo Circus was performing in the open grounds outside our village. आमच्या गावाबाहेरच्या मोकळ्या मैदानात जम्बो सर्कस सुरू होती. A huge tent was pitched up for the performance of this circus. या सर्कसच्या प्रदर्शनासाठी मोठा तंबू उभारण्यात आला होता. It's shows were advertised in the local daily newspaper, as well as through posters and handbills. शोची स्थानिक दैनिक वृत्तपत्रात तसेच पोस्टर आणि हँडबिल्सद्वारे जाहिरात केली गेली. Besides, the clowns funnily dressed and with big red noses went round the village on the elephant back to advertise the shows. याशिवाय विदूषक मजेदार पोशाख घालून आणि मोठ्या लाल नाकांसह हत्तीच्या पाठीवर शोच्या जाहिरातीसाठी गावात फिरत होते. This was the most effective advertisement of the circus. ही सर्कसची सर्वात प्रभावी जाहिरात होती.

     One Saturday evening I went with my parents to see the circus. एका शनिवारी संध्याकाळी मी माझ्या आईवडिलांसोबत सर्कस बघायला गेलो होतो. The show was to begin at 6 p.m. संध्याकाळी ६ वाजता शो सुरू होणार होता. We bought the tickets at the booking window outside the tent. आम्ही तंबूच्या बाहेरील बुकिंग विंडोमधून तिकिटे खरेदी केली. Then we eagerly entered the huge tent. मग आम्ही उत्सुकतेने विशाल तंबूत शिरलो.

     As we took our seats, I saw that people were coming through various entrances of the tent. आम्ही आमची जागा घेतली तेव्हा तंबूच्या विविध प्रवेशद्वारातून लोक येत असल्याचे मला दिसले. Within 10 minutes there was not a single vacant seat in the tent. 10 मिनिटांतच मंडपात एकही जागा रिकामी नव्हती. All this while the circus band was playing merry tunes to delight the spectators. त्यावेळेला सर्व सर्कस बँड प्रेक्षकांना आनंद देण्यासाठी आनंददायी ट्यून वाजवत होता.

     Soon the show began. लवकरच शो सुरू झाला. First the horses entered the ring and ran round and round. प्रथम घोडे रिंगणात शिरले आणि गोल गोल धावत गेले.  They looked very graceful. ते अतिशय सुंदर दिसत होते.  Then we saw the feat of rope-walking and balancing performed by two girls dressed in tight white clothes. त्यानंतर घट्ट पांढरे कपडे घातलेल्या दोन मुलींनी दोरीने चालण्याचा आणि समतोल साधण्याचा पराक्रम पाहिला. Two smart athletes performed feats on a single-bar. दोन हुशार खेळाडूंनी सिंगल-बारवर पराक्रम केला.  Two girls climbed to the top of the tent and performed thrilling feats on the trapeze. दोन मुलींनी तंबूच्या शिखरावर चढून ट्रॅपीझवर थरारक पराक्रम केले. These acrobatic feats were simply breath-taking. हे अ‍ॅक्रोबॅटिक पराक्रम केवळ श्वास रोखणारे होते. 

     Then followed the wild animals. मग पाठोपाठ वन्य प्राणी आले. Three lions and four tigers were brought from their cages into an enclosure. तीन सिंह आणि चार वाघ यांना त्यांच्या पिंजऱ्यातून एका बंदिस्त आवारात आणण्यात आले. After this we saw some more feats by trained elephants, horses, parrots and monkeys. यानंतर आम्ही प्रशिक्षित हत्ती, घोडे, पोपट आणि माकडांचे आणखी काही पराक्रम पाहिले. Throughout the show, the clowns continued to amuse the spectators. संपूर्ण शोभर विदूषक प्रेक्षकांची खिल्ली उडवत राहिले.

     I fully enjoyed this circus show for three hours. मी तीन तास या सर्कस शोचा पूर्ण आनंद घेतला.
