You want to contribute to the Asam Relief fund. तुम्हाला आसाम रिलीफ फंडात योगदान द्यायचे आहे. 

Write a letter to your father about your decision. तुमच्या निर्णयाबद्दल तुमच्या वडिलांना पत्र लिहा.

My dear Father,

     I stood first in the essay- writing competition held in our school last month. गेल्या महिन्यात आमच्या शाळेत झालेल्या निबंध लेखन स्पर्धेत मी पहिला आलो. I have won a cash prize of Rs. 501. मी रु.५०१ चे रोख पारितोषिक जिंकले आहे.

     Every day I read in the papers the stories of terrible s of the people in Asam. आसाममधील लोकांच्या भयंकर कथा मी रोज पेपरमध्ये वाचतो. Floods and storms have been playing havoc there. पूर आणि वादळांनी तिथे कहर केला आहे. Hundreds of people have lost their lives while thousands and thousands of men, women and children have been marooned in different places. शेकडो लोकांना आपला जीव गमवावा लागला आहे, तर हजारो पुरुष, स्त्रिया आणि मुले वेगवेगळ्या ठिकाणी मरून गेली आहेत. I am moved by their sufferings. So I want to contribute Rs 501 earned by me to the Asam Relief Fund. म्हणून मी तुम्हाला विनंती करतो की, मला ५०१ रुपयांची ही रक्कम त्या लोकांना पाठवण्याची संमती द्या. I feel that it is a noble act to help those suffering people. त्या पीडित लोकांना मदत करणे हे एक उदात्त कार्य आहे असे मला वाटते.

     I, therefore, request you to give me your consent to send this amount of Rs 501 to those people. म्हणून मी तुम्हाला विनंती करतो की, मला ५०१ रुपयांची ही रक्कम त्या लोकांना पाठवण्याची संमती द्यावीत.

     Please give my regards to Mother. आईला माझा प्रणाम सांगा.
