A BIKE RIDE

 

    My father gifted me a bike on my 25th birthday. माझ्या पंचविसाव्या वाढदिवसाला माझ्या वडिलांनी मला एक बाईक भेट दिली. When he brought it home, I was thrilled. ती घरी आणल्यावर मला आनंद झाला. Dad warned me to be careful while driving it. वडिलांनी मला गाडी चालवताना काळजी घेण्याचा इशारा दिला. It was the best birthday gift of my life because all my friends have bikes, and I too wanted one. माझ्या आयुष्यातील वाढदिवसाची ही सर्वोत्तम भेट होती कारण माझ्या सर्व मित्रांकडे बाईक आहेत आणि मलाही एक हवी होती. My dad fulfilled my wish. माझ्या बाबांनी माझी इच्छा पूर्ण केली.

     Next day, I planned a bike ride with Trish, Arya and Ruku. दुस-या दिवशी मी त्रिश, आर्य आणि रुकुसोबत बाईक राइडचा प्लॅन केला. We would go for a 1-day bike picnic to Yevoor forest amd back. आम्ही बाईक वरुन येवूर जंगलात एक-दिवसाची जाऊन येण्याच्या पिकनिकसाठी गेलो. We met at 6 am near the Mulund Check Naka. सकाळी 6 वाजता मुलुंड चेक नाक्याजवळ भेटलो. The breeze accompanied with us. वाऱ्याची झुळूक आमच्यासोबत होती. We drove the bikes slowly because we knew the hills would take up all our energy later. आम्ही बाईक्स हळू चालवल्या कारण आम्हाला माहित होते की टेकड्यांवर चालवायला आम्हाला सर्व शक्ती लागेल. We reached at the Yevoor forest entrance gate at 6:30 am. सकाळी 6:30 ला येवूर जंगलाच्या प्रवेशद्वारापाशी पोहोचलो. There we bought entry tickets. तिथे आम्ही तिकिटे काढली. We stopped after an hour at a local dhaba for tea and vada pav. तासाभरानंतर एका लोकल ढाब्यावर चहा आणि वडा पावसाठी थांबलो. The steep climb up the hill was thrilling. टेकडीवरची चढण थरारक होती. We finally found a suitable place, parked our bikes and sat on the grass for a while. शेवटी आम्हाला एक योग्य जागा सापडली, आमच्या बाईक पार्क केल्या आणि थोडा वेळ गवतावर बसलो.

     We had lunch at 12 pm. दुपारी 12 वाजता आम्ही जेवण केले. Then, we went exploring the hillsides. मग आम्ही टेकड्यांवर फिरायला निघालो. We saw many pretty birds. आम्ही पुष्कळ सुंदर पक्षी पाहिले. We clicked their photos. आम्ही त्यांचे फोटो काढले. We found a spring with cool, crystal-clear water. आम्हाला थंड, निरभ्र स्वच्छ पाण्याचा झरा सापडला. By 5 pm, we decided to return home. संध्याकाळी 5 पर्यंत आम्ही घरी परतायचे ठरवले.

     The journey back was very exciting, because we were going downhill. आम्ही उतारावरून जात असल्याने परतीचा प्रवास खूप रोमांचक होता. We returned before sunset, tired but happy. आम्ही सूर्यास्तापूर्वी परतलो, थकलो होतो पण आनंदी होतो. We decided that we would go there every month. दर महिन्याला तिथे जायचे असे आम्ही ठरवले.
