There are some words which may introduce
A Noun Clause
An Adjective Clause
An Adverb Clause
In such cases, in order to name the clause correctly, we must find out what work it does in the sentences.
Study carefully the following examples:
WHERE
NOUN CLAUSE ➡️
🔺 I know where he plays. तो कुठे खेळतो हे मला माहीत आहे.
Here the clause, where he plays, is the object of the verb know.
It is therefore a Noun Clause.
ADJECTIVE CLAUSE ➡️
🔺 I know the place where he plays. तो जिथे खेळतो ते ठिकाण मला माहीत आहे.
Here the same clause qualifies the noun place in the Main Clause.
It is therefore an adjective clause.
ADVERB CLAUSE ➡️
🔺 I will come where he plays. तो जिथे खेळतो तिथे मी येईन.
Here the same clause modifies the verb come in the Main Clause.
It is therefore an adverb clause.
