WHILE + PRESENT PARTICIPLE [ING]

The main Subject should be taken only once.

मुख्य कर्ता एकदाच घ्यावा. 

Add ing to the base form of an action verb on which another action depends.

ज्या क्रियेवर दुसरी क्रिया अवलंबून आहे अशा क्रियेच्या क्रियापदाच्या मूळ रुपास ing जोडावे. 

while can be placed at the beginning of a sentence or between two sentences. while हे वाक्याच्या सुरुवातीला वा दोन वाक्यांच्या मध्ये घेवू शकतो.

when, at that time, then should be removed from the sentence. 

वाक्यातून when, at that time, then काढून टाकावे. 

Examples:

1. Nimu fell flat on her face when she tried to walk for the first time. ( when she🔺 tried  ➡️ try + ing = trying)

निमूने पहिल्यांदा चालण्याचा प्रयत्न केला तेव्हा ती तिच्या तोंडावर पडली.

Ans. Nimu fell flat on her face while trying to walk for the first time.

निमू पहिल्यांदा चालण्याचा प्रयत्न करताना तोंडावर पडली.

While trying to walk for the first time Nimu fell flat on her face.

पहिल्यांदा चालण्याचा प्रयत्न करताना निमू तोंडावर पडली.

3. Pari watched sparrows while she was doing homework. (she was)

परी गृहपाठ करत असताना चिमण्या पाहत होती.

Pari watched sparrows while doing homework. 

परी गृहपाठ करताना चिमण्या पाहत होती.

While doing homework Pari watched sparrows.

गृहपाठ करताना परी चिमण्या पाहत होती.

4. Vibha cooked food while she was singing. (she was) विभाने गाताना जेवण बनवले.

Vibha cooked food while singing. 

विभाने गाताना जेवण बनवले.

While singing Vibha cooked food.

गाताना विभाने अन्न बनवले.

5. I saw a beautiful bird while I was wandering through the park. ( I was )

मी उद्यानातून भटकत असताना मला एक सुंदर पक्षी दिसला.

I saw a beautiful bird while wandering through the park.

मला एक सुंदर पक्षी उद्यानातून भटकताना दिसला.

While wandering through the park I saw a beautiful bird.

उद्यानातून भटकताना मला एक सुंदर पक्षी दिसला.
