Priya began researching in the town's old newspapers and records. After many days, she discovered the tragic story of Rukmini, a young woman who had been deeply in love with a man named Arun. Their wedding was supposed to be a grand event, but on the wedding day, Arun never arrived. Some said he had run away, while others believed he had been killed by someone jealous. Heartbroken, Rukmini wandered the mansion in her wedding dress, waiting for Arun to return. She eventually died, but her spirit remained in the mansion, still waiting for the love that never came.
Priya knew she had to help Rukmini find peace. She returned to the mansion with some of Rukmini’s old belongings: a photograph, a piece of her wedding gown, and a dried garland. At midnight, Priya performed a ritual, speaking sacred words to release Rukmini's spirit. The mansion grew cold, and the sad music started again as the ghostly bride appeared. But this time, Priya wasn’t afraid. She felt deep sympathy for Rukmini and gently told her that it was time to rest and find peace.
For a moment, Rukmini’s sad expression softened, and the music slowly faded away. The ghostly bride began to disappear, finally freed from the mansion. The place, once filled with sorrow, felt lighter and more peaceful. Priya left, knowing she had helped Rukmini find the peace she had longed for.
The story of the Phantom Bride was no longer one of fear, but of love and the peace that followed.
