Here’s Part 2 of the story: The Lazy Lion Learns a Lesson
The animals in the forest had enough of Lalu's laziness. जंगलातले प्राणी लालूच्या आळशीपणाला कंटाळले होते. They held a secret meeting under the banyan tree. त्यांनी वडाच्या झाडाखाली एक गुप्त बैठक घेतली. Monkey said, “Let’s teach him a lesson – the fun way!” माकड म्हणालं, “चला त्याला एक धडा शिकवू – पण मजेदार पद्धतीने!” Everyone clapped and agreed. सगळ्यांनी टाळ्या वाजवून संमती दिली.
Next morning, Rabbit dressed up like a royal messenger. दुसऱ्या दिवशी ससा राजदूतासारखा वेष धारण करून आला. He went to Lalu and said, “Your Majesty, the King of Hills invites you for a royal dinner!” तो लालूकडे गेला आणि म्हणाला, “राजा महाराज, डोंगरांचा राजा तुम्हाला शाही जेवणासाठी बोलवत आहे!” Lalu's eyes sparkled. “Dinner? With no hunting? I’m in!” लालूच्या डोळ्यांत चमक आली. “जेवण? शिकार नाही? मी येतोच!”
He started walking proudly after many months. खूप महिन्यांनंतर तो अभिमानाने चालायला लागला. But the animals had set up a funny obstacle course! पण प्राण्यांनी एक मजेदार अडथळ्यांचा खेळ तयार केला होता! First, Lalu had to crawl under vines. सर्वप्रथम लालूला वेलींखालीून सरकावे लागले. Then jump over a muddy puddle. मग चिखलाच्या डबक्यांवरून उडी मारावी लागली. Then answer a riddle by the owl: मग घुबडाने विचारलेले कोडं सोडवावे लागले:
Owl: “What’s lazy, roars a lot, and sleeps more than it eats?” घुबड: “काय आहे जे आळशी आहे, खूप गरजते, पण खाण्यापेक्षा जास्त झोपते?”
Lalu blushed, “Umm… Me?” लालू लाजून म्हणाला, “मी…?” All the animals shouted, “Correct!” and laughed. सगळे प्राणी ओरडले, “बरोबर!” आणि हसले. Lalu was tired, dirty, and very hungry. लालू थकलेला, मळलेला आणि फारच भुकेला होता.
At the end, there was no royal dinner—just a note: शेवटी, तिथे कोणतंही शाही जेवण नव्हते – फक्त एक चिठ्ठी होती:
“If you want food, earn it!”
“खायचं असेल तर कष्ट कर!”
Lalu finally understood. लालूला शेवटी समजले.
From that day, he started hunting on his own (well… slowly!). त्या दिवसापासून त्याने स्वतः शिकार करायला सुरुवात केली (जरा संथ गतीने का होईना!).
