August 15 :
This year's Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our college. या वर्षीचा स्वातंत्र्यदिन आमच्या कॉलेजमध्ये मोठ्या उत्साहात साजरा झाला. All the students and teachers gadhered on the college ground at 7.00 a.m. सकाळी ७.०० वाजता सर्व विद्यार्थी आणि शिक्षक महाविद्यालयाच्या मैदानावर जमले. The Chief guest, Mr. Chitre, Collector, arrived and everyone cheered. प्रमुख पाहुणे, जिल्हाधिकारी श्री. चित्रे यांचे आगमन झाले आणि सर्वांनी जल्लोष केला. He hoisted the national flag at 7.45 a.m. सकाळी ७.४५ वाजता त्यांनी राष्ट्रध्वज फडकावला. Everyone saluted the national flag. सर्वांनी राष्ट्रध्वजाला वंदन केले. Then we sang the national anthem. त्यानंतर आम्ही राष्ट्रगीत गायले. A group of students sang patriotic songs. विद्यार्थ्यांच्या गटाने देशभक्तीपर गीते गायली.
Mr. Chitre then addressed the gathering. त्यानंतर श्री.चित्रे यांनी उपस्थितांना संबोधित केले. He stressed the need to improve the condition of girls in society. समाजातील मुलींची स्थिती सुधारण्याची गरज त्यांनी व्यक्त केली. He also pointed out several challenging careers open to girls. मुलींसाठी खुल्या असलेल्या अनेक आव्हानात्मक करिअरकडेही त्यांनी लक्ष वेधले. There was a group patriotic songs competition. यावेळी सामूहिक देशभक्तीपर गीत स्पर्धा घेण्यात आली. Our class won the first prize in patriotic songs competition. आमच्या वर्गाने देशभक्तीपर गीत स्पर्धेत प्रथम पारितोषिक पटकावले. This was followed by a tableau showing some events of our freedom struggle. यानंतर आपल्या स्वातंत्र्यलढ्यातील काही घटना दर्शविणारी एक झलक सादर करण्यात आली. Then we sang 'Vande Mataram'. मग आम्ही 'वंदे मातरम' गायलो. The college dispersed finally after the distribution of chocolates. अखेर चॉकलेट वाटपानंतर कॉलेज सुटले.
