REPORT WRITING - TRAFFIC DISTRUPTED वाहतूक विस्कळीत

October 18 :

     Yesterday, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., hundreds of trucks, buses, cars, two- wheelers, Rickshaws were caught in the traffic snarl from Mulund Check naka to Mangatram Petrol Pump, Bhandup. काल संध्याकाळी ६ वाजल्यापासून रात्री ९ वाजेपर्यंत मुलुंड चेक नाका ते मंगतराम पेट्रोल पंप, भांडुपपर्यंत शेकडो ट्रक, बस, कार, दुचाकी, ऑटो रिक्षा वाहतूक कोंडीत अडकले. It was learnt from reliable sources that the situation had been caused due to truck and tempo accident. ट्रक आणि टेम्पोच्या अपघातामुळे ही परिस्थिती निर्माण झाल्याची विश्वसनीय सूत्रांकडून माहिती मिळाली. Matters became worse as the traffic was at its peak during those hours. त्या वेळेत वाहतूक शिगेला पोहोचल्याने प्रकरण अधिकच बिकट झाले.

     Many vehicle owners tried to avoid the traffic jam by using the interior roads and lanes. अनेक वाहनधारकांनी अंतर्गत रस्ते आणि गल्ल्यांचा वापर करून वाहतूक कोंडी टाळण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. It took us almost an hour-and-a-half to reach Gandhi Nagar Market, Kanjurmarg. गांधी नगर मार्केट, कांजूरमार्ग येथे जाण्यासाठी आम्हाला दीड तास लागला. The traffic police found it difficult to maintain an order. वाहतूक पोलिसांना सुव्यवस्था राखणे अवघड झाले. Raghubir Singh, an auto driver, said, "I have been driving for the past 30 years but I have never witnessed a traffic jam of this proportion." रघुबीर सिंग या ऑटो चालकाने सांगितले की, "मी गेली तीस वर्षे गाडी चालवत आहे, पण एवढ्या प्रमाणात ट्रॅफिक जाम मी कधीच पाहिला नाही."
